Terms of Service
Last updated: August 17, 2026
These terms are the deal between you and the Rafts.io team ("we") for playing Rafts.io, whether on rafts.io or on a partner platform such as CrazyGames. By playing, you agree to them. They're written to be read, not to scare you — the heart of it is: be decent to other players, don't cheat, and remember the game is an early-alpha work in progress.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age where you can agree to terms like these yourself where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
2. Your account
- Accounts are optional — the game is fully playable as a guest.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account; keep your password to yourself.
- One person per account. Don't sell, trade, or give accounts away.
- Usernames are public. Offensive or impersonating usernames may be changed or removed.
- On CrazyGames, signing in happens through your CrazyGames account under their own terms.
3. Conduct
Multiplayer only works if the ocean stays friendly. Don't:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other players — in chat, voice, or with in-game content (signs, paintings, flags, raft names).
- Post content that's hateful, sexually explicit, illegal, or that shares someone's personal information.
- Cheat: no hacked clients, exploits, bots, automation, or tampering with the game's network traffic. Found an exploit? Report it on Discord instead of using it.
- Grief in ways the game doesn't intend, spam chat, or impersonate moderators.
- Attack the service itself (probing, flooding, or disrupting our servers).
4. Moderation
We can warn, mute, kick, or ban accounts (temporarily or permanently, including by IP) for breaking these rules, and remove player-created content that does. Moderation calls are made by humans and are final, but if you think we got one wrong you can appeal on the Discord.
5. Pearls and cosmetics
- Pearls are the in-game currency, earned by playing (challenges, daily rewards, optional rewarded ads).
- Pearls and cosmetics have no real-world value, can't be cashed out, refunded, or transferred between accounts.
- Nothing in the game currently costs real money. If that ever changes, these terms will be updated first, and purchases on partner platforms will also be governed by that platform's terms.
6. Early alpha, honestly stated
Rafts.io is in active development. Features change, servers restart, bugs bite, and — despite cloud saves — progress, pearls, or cosmetics may occasionally be lost, reset, or rebalanced. The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may change or shut down features (or the game) at any time.
7. Your content, our game
- The game — its code, art, names, and design — belongs to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to play it in your browser.
- Things you create in-game (raft designs, paintings, signs, chat) remain yours, but you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and share them as part of operating and promoting the game (e.g. another player visiting your raft, or a screenshot in the changelog).
- Don't create in-game content you don't have the rights to.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages from playing (or not being able to play) Rafts.io — and since the game is free, our total liability to you is capped at $0 or the smallest amount your local law permits. Nothing here limits liability that the law says can't be limited.
9. Ending things
You can stop playing or delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (content license, liability, disputes) survive termination.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the game evolves. Meaningful changes get a note in the in-game changelog; the date at the top is always the current version. Playing after a change means you accept it.
